Magazine, Book, Jumble and all that stuff

Just a few pic from an old magazine I picked up and a little of my lucky finds this month

A wall paper that I could live with.

                                                          Cool idea for bed head

I have one of these chairs hiding somewhere in my jumble waiting for an up cycle it would make a good bedside table.

When space is needed folding tables cool idea

Same Idea for shelves  in living area as Bedroom

Below are some pic from my newly acquired book by Keeley Harris Called,
                                              Style Me Vintage Home.
Its a beautiful coffee table book full of good ideas on collecting and putting together a retro/ vintage home from the 1920 to the 1970's .
Its interesting to see the original styling of the 70's  in the above magazine against the 70's designing of today's stylists

Now for  a look at some of my finds this month

Below are two  1960's  embroidered pictures by   Bundaburg Artist  Joan Mc Gill

Art work called .         Moon light capers

Art work called  Bees in her Bonnet

Three baby dolls, the one in red is from the 80's called My Child  and  very sort after.  It amazes me on who decides which dolls are collectible I've seen these dolls fetch as much as 1000$ for the right one,  work that one out.

                             Depression glass vase in green

Couple of pieces of art glass

1950's Print by french  Artist Pierre-Laurent Brenot
called Sofia.  Brenot did a lot of prints for French magazines and posters have a look on line there very interesting if you like 1950's posters.

Two Candle wax vases made by the Hermanova Glass works

Funny how "what goes around comes around" Those retro interior mags are so on trend it's not funny. I love dipping in to my collection of retro interior mags/books.

  2. Thanks for your comment. Yes the things people throw away amazes me, I also love looking through my magazines and books Its fun when you can say, I remember when we brought one of those and a time later on when it was presumed old fashioned and was given to newly weds to see them through until they could afford new. If only we had one knew what to keep, I guess buying style and quality come in there.
