Nimbin North NSW

Welcome once again and I hope your all happy and well .
I would like to show you around a little town called Nimbin, this town is very well know in Australia  for its  hippy alternative life style and communal living in the 60'/70.
Its very colourful town surrounded by stunning country and not far from the well known coastal town of Byron Bay which is also well known for its alternative life style .
These photos were taken on a trip down to Sydney.
I love the lay back feel of this town with its  artists, natural crafters, organic food and beautiful people.

Most of the buildings are decorated or painted brightly the rainbow is very prominent theme

Happy herbs/ pot is very much part of the vibe hemp is used to make many of the cloths on display

Lots of peace sign's and wall murals

Graffiti combi van. Each year there are many festivals held and  in one such festival combi vans are driven through the town . Someone missed the road here to many happy herbs me thinks

There 's lots of allternitive medical centers for yoga and meditation

Beautiful organic food is on offer throughout the many hippy cafes

Most of the sidewalks are decorated and offer much needed shade.  Time for acupuncture

Just out of the town are lots of interesting rock forms jutting out from  green hills

The road into Nimbin is very pretty and green

Narrow bridges

One of many old barns along the way
